About Michael and Heather
Michael McDermott and Heather Lynne Horton bring together powerful storytelling, rich vocals, and dynamic musicianship for a memorable live performance. Michael is known for his deeply personal lyrics and blend of rock, folk, and Americana, while Heather showcases her expressive violin and soulful vocals shaped by influences across folk, rock, and blues. Based in the Chicagoland area, they both tour locally, nationally, and internationally.
Longtime supporters of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, Michael and Heather have performed benefit concerts for the organization over the years, including the past two at Maple Street Chapel. We hope you will join us for an engaging and intimate musical experience rooted in both artistry and purpose.
We are all in this together!
With Much Gratitude
Supporting Mercy Home for Boys & Girls has been an incredible journey, and we are so grateful to everyone who has been part of it—family, friends, the “Paupers,” our running and Mercy Home communities, and everyone who has contributed through concerts, marathons, and auctions.
Special thanks to Michael McDermott and Heather Lynne Horton for their generosity and for sharing their music in support of this cause over the years.
Together, more than $180,000 has been raised to help children facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
Peace, love, and brilliant colors to you all!
