Event Description
OWLS (Older, Wiser, Livelier Scholars) is a immersive nature experience for adults interested in learning more about the natural world. Programs are held at Maywood as well as nearby nature locations. Check each program description for information on where to meet. All programs run 10am-Noon.
Participants should wear comfortable shoes that can handle a variety of trail conditions and dress for the weather. Bringing along a water bottle is recommended.
Please register by the Thursday prior to each program date below.
September 5 - Ice Age Trail Hike, meet at Greenbush Trailhead
September 12 - Forest Beach Migratory Preserve, meet at 4970 Country Club Road, Port Washington
September 19 - Bur Oak, meet at Maywood
October 3 - Water Quality Monitoring at Maywood
October 17 - Prairie Seed Collection at Maywood
October 31 - North Point Bluff, register to receive directions to meeting location
November 7 - Biochar at Maywood
November 14 - Elkhart Lake, register to receive directions to meeting location
November 21 - Sheboygan Marsh, meet at parking lot near 7664 School Rd in Glenbeulah
