The premier event for the Pinehurst Barbecue Festival features North Carolina’s finest barbecue Pitmasters serving unique samples of beef, pork, poultry and seafood along with Southern Sides. Each ticket includes one protein and one side sample from each pitmaster. The day also includes BBQ sauce and rub samplings from vendors across the state, Got To Be NC vendors, North Carolina craft beer, wine from the Surry County Wine Trail, selected spirits by award-winning Cape Fear Distillery and live entertainment.

Kick off the 2023 Pinehurst Barbecue Festival with a night of gourmet barbecue offerings, crafted cocktails and good times in the iconic Village of Pinehurst Fair Barn, presented by Food Network North Carolina Chopped Champion Adam Hughes. Guests will be treated to unique BBQ samples, including various seafood options, along with Southern sides. The evening includes live entertainment, liquor & beer sampling and a Cackalacky Corner for those who want to stock up on everything BBQ. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. Jeans welcomed ... or golf casual. Tickets to this event are limited. Free parking.

The “Q” School Grilling Class at the Pinehurst Brewing Co. incorporates the knowledge of self-proclaimed Barbecue Nerd and Food Network celebrity Christopher Prieto with food samplings and spirits. Back by popular demand, Prieto, the engaging owner of Prime Barbecue in Knightdale, N.C., will lead a 75-minute grilling class with inside tips on how to perfect the art of grilling. Each ticket holder will be provided with one beer ticket along with samples of various meats, veggies, and desserts that Prieto and his team execute on site. Come hungry and rub shoulders with one of the nation’s most renowned pitmasters while enjoying your favorite beverage. Cackalacky will also be
on hand for BBQ sauce and rub sampling opportunities. Seating is provided as well as complimentary bottled water and craft beer sales.

Pinehurst Resort’s historic Manor Inn celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2023 and its North & South Whiskey Bar plays host to an evening of whiskey and bourbon sampling, expertly paired with small plates from the resort’s culinary team. Participants will have the opportunity to sample five varieties of bourbon paired with unique chef creations during the evening event, including an exclusive Woodford Reserve Small Batch made exclusively for Pinehurst Resort. The two-hour intimate setting is presented by Lin Hutaff’s Pinehurst Realty Group. Each participant will also receive a cigar, compliments of Specialty Cigars. Dress is golf casual. 

The newest event in the Pinehurst Barbecue Festival line-up, Barbecue Reimagined is a gourmet tasting event featuring Got To Be NC Ambassador Chefs, Pastry Chefs and Mixologists from across the state who will prepare nontraditional and international barbecue dishes and signature cocktails.

Enjoy the fourth annual Pinehurst Barbecue Festival in style. Your early admission ticket gets you access to food and drink one hour prior to the general admission entry and the ability to head back to your favorite pitmaster for seconds with two samples instead of one at each of the seven pit locations.
