The kit includes 3 native perennials and 2 caterpillar food sources. You will need to provide 2 places for cover, a water source, and you must garden sustainably (no pesticides or herbicides). 

Once you have met the criteria, you can register your habitat garden with the National Wildlife Federation (www.nwf.org/certify). Registration is $20.
