Coach Eric, our certified run coach, has put together an easy-to-follow plan that helps you build up your stamina—the perfect program if you've been doing some running, getting back into running, or just looking for others like yourself with whom to run.
We’ve got training cohorts for every pace and experience level. This group's focus is to support your running journey in a supportive group and individual attention. Workouts will gradually build up, ensuring you’re ready to tackle 13.1 miles with confidence. Starting June 29th, this five-week program is designed to prepare you to cross the finish line of the Anchorage RunFest Half Marathon on August 17th.

Program Details
The Half Marathon Training Program group meets once a week beginning 6/29/25 on Sundays at Flattop Pizza at 11:30am for our long runs. You are invited to stick around after our training run to cool down with a walk with the Anchorage Running Club's social run/walk.
You'll receive an individualized training plan that includes workouts for the rest of the week to be completed either on your own or with other members of your cohort if scheduling allows.
Your training program includes weekly training plans, Sunday in person sessions and either a free membership to the Anchorage Running Club or a $20 discount for the 2025 Anchorage Half Marathon for everyone who completes the program.
This program is sponsored by the Anchorage Running Club. Participants of the Half Marathon training group, after successfully completing the program, will be offered either a free club membership or a $20 off an Anchorage RunFest race in 2025.
