RADAR Road Trip

and the destination is the new Mario Cuomo (Tappan Zee) Bridge!

We'll meet at the Westchester Landing, located at 333 South Broadway in Tarrytown at 7:15 AM. The 12-ft wide, shared use pedestrian and bike path is filled with viewing platforms and art installations making it a unique run and walk destination. Run or walk as far as you'd like, and then turnaround (from landing-to-landing is 3.6 miles, so round trip to the Rockland County side and back is a little over 7 miles). The first viewing platform is only about 1/2 mile from the Westchester Land, so this trip is walker-friendly, beginner-friendly, and injured-runner friendly. 

SNEAKERS DOWN at 7:30AM on the dot. We'll have tail-gate style bagel & coffee breakfast in the parking lot afterward, approximately 8:30AM, or you can choose to head into Tarrytown for a bite to eat.

RADAR Members are FREE, Non-RADAR Members: $10 (plus a small ticketing fee).

There are restrooms and plenty of parking on both sides (landings) of the bridge. Be sure to dress for the weather, and it can get windy on the bridge. There are NO DOGS ALLOWED on the walkway.
