Resource Depot

Proceeds from the SWA 4R Scavenger Hunt benefit Resource Depot, a not-for-profit creative reuse center in Palm Beach County that collects and distributes unwanted reusable materials to the arts and education communities. Last year, Resource Depot kept almost 200,000 pounds of reusable supplies out of our landfill and put them in the hands of those students, artists and teachers who could use them most.

Resource Depot is located at 2508 Florida Ave in West Palm Beach.

Grassy Waters Preserve

Grassy Waters Preserve is a 23 square mile wetlands ecosystem that serves as the freshwater supply for the City of West Palm Beach and the towns of South Palm Beach and Palm Beach Island. Historically, Grassy Waters was both a key component of the Greater Everglades watershed and the headwaters of the Northwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River.

The continued pristine beauty of Grassy Waters Preserve is thanks to the Department of Public Utilities Watershed Management Division.

Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center is located at 8264 Northlake Blvd in West Palm Beach.
