Shinrin-Yoku: The Art of Japanese Forest Bathing

Join a guide certified by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy for a walk among the gardens and wooded trails of the Delaware Botanic Gardens to engage the senses and appreciate the benefits of being immersed in a natural environment.  Slowing down and spending mindful time in nature is proven to regulate your blood pressure, increase immunity, and reduce production of stress hormones. Expect to feel relaxed, refreshed and connected to nature after this guided walk.  

Your Guide:  Laura Armstrong Falvey

Laura is a sustainability professional with more than 30 years' experience leading award-winning programs at the federal and state level.  Her interest in staying connected with nature led to her certification in 2023 as a Forest Therapy Guide by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, the global leader in forest therapy guide training.  Based in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, Laura has led more than 400 people on forest bathing walks throughout the Chesapeake watershed and beyond for private and public groups, parks, tourism, veterans, schools, churches, universities, and business retreats.

This activity has a 12 participant capacity and is for ages 16 and over.
