Our Mission
The Sneed Legacy Foundation honors the life and legacy of Hunter Sneed by empowering youth and young men through athletics, education, and career development. Founded by brothers Dayton and Carson Sneed, the Foundation provides scholarships for students pursuing trades like welding and creates youth football programs that build discipline, leadership, and community among Nashville and North Carolina youth. Through service, sport, and opportunity, we carry Hunter's legacy forward – turning loss into lasting impact.
The Sneed Legacy Foundation is a charitable initiative founded by Dayton and Carson Sneed, student athletes at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, to honor their late brother, Hunter Sneed, whose passion for welding, hard work, and community left a lasting impression on all who knew him. The Foundation’s mission is to inspire and equip the next generation of young men through education, athletics, and hands-on skill development.
The Foundation was established to give back to Nashville youth through sports, education, and career advancement opportunities. Through these initiatives, the Foundation seeks to honor Hunter’s spirit by empowering young men to build strong futures—on the field, in the classroom, and in their communities.
This year, the Sneed Legacy Foundation is partnering with Metro Nashville Public Schools to raise money to support Girls Flag Football programs. Being that football gave the Sneeds their foundation of hard work, discipline, perserverance and dedication, they want to make sure that female athletes get to experience the same opportunities they received as athletes growing up in Nashville. Whether the need is for equipment, nutrition, travel, transportation or sports therapy, the Sneed Legacy Foundation is asking for your help in supporting Girls' Flag Football progams in Middle Tennessee. No donation is too small and every dollar helps! Thank you in advance for your support.
