Join the Fully Packed Ohio chapter on this epic bikepacking adventure along the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal trails. The ride combines bikepacking and Bible study with daily group devotions and discussion topics. 

Discover the stunning Appalachian Mountains as you pedal through picturesque landscapes, historic towns, and charming lockhouses. The 335-mile route follows former towpaths through lush forests, alongside tranquil rivers, through tunnels, and past remnants of the region's rich history. 

Whether you're an experienced bikepacker or a beginner, this journey offers something for everyone.

Itinerary

  • May 26, 2024 - Ohio chapter traveling from Greenville, Ohio to Pittsburgh, PA. Check in at hotel (TBD)
  • May 27, 2024 (Memorial Day) - 58-mile ride to Connellsville.
    • Breakfast at hotel
    • Lunch stop at Sheetz, Wendy's, Pizzaria
    • Open-air camping in covered shelters alongside trail
  • May 28, 2024 - 75-mile ride to Frostburg
    • Breakfast and lunch stops as available
    • Stay in Cyclist hostel complete with bunk-beds, showers, laundry (small fee)
    • Eat at local pub style family restaurant
  • May 29, 2024 - 80-mile ride to Hancock
    • Sheetz breakfast stop
    • Open-air camping under covered shelter behind local bike shop complete with shower
    • Dinner at local restaurant
  • May 30, 2024 - 100(ish) mile ride past Harper's Ferry
    • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at nearest available stops near the trail
    • Tent camping alongside trail 
  • May 31, 2024 - 25-mile ride to Washington DC
    • Breakfast and lunch at nearest available stops
    • Urban commute to various monuments, the White House, National Mall, etc. 
    • Load up in rental vehicle and travel back to Greenville, Ohio.

Registration

Registration fee covers camping accommodations along the route and assists with travel expenses. Each rider will be responsible for their own food, equipment, and cost of additional lodging amenities such as laundry fees. Please be sure to bring cash. 

Bike Rental

Loaner bikes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact us to make a reservation.
