Keeping Your Balance / Our Relationship to Gravity
Gravity never takes a day off. It's always pulling us toward the ground. As we age, our muscles naturally become weaker, our vision and inner ear change, and our reaction time slows. All of these make it harder to stay steady.
But here's the good news: our bodies are designed to adapt. Every time we practice balance, we're training our brain, muscles, and nervous system to work together more effectively. Movement is how we stay one step ahead of gravity.
While aging is inevitable, losing balance is not. Regular strength and balance exercises can help us stay independent, confident, and active within our individual abilities.
We look forward to seeing you in class as we strengthen our bodies, improve our balance, and prove that it's never too late to age up well.

Sound to Silence: Participatroy Vocal Exploration & Mindful Meditation
Join Maryse for an experiential vocal sound journey of humming and toning harmonium and singing bowl. This is a heart opening practice, a playful way to reset vagus nerve and an effective way to show up with a voice and instrument (your very own boday!) more authentically attuned to who you truly are. A way to give yourself and others the full spectrum of vibrations that is your unique voice. We'll play with opposites by going from sound to silence, from movement to stillness, as we'll end class with a guided Mindful Meditation. No singing or mediation experience needed.

Fascia: What is it? Where is it? And why does it matter?
An Introduction to Fascia - Have you ever wondered why tension in one part of the body can affect another? Or why movement, touch, and even stress can change how your body feels? The answer often lies in fascia - the body's remarkable connective tissue network. In this workshop, you'll explore what fascia is, how it functions, and why it has become one of the most exciting areas of study in anatomy, movement science, rehabilitation, and bodywork.

Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE)
Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) is a simple yet innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.

All there is is Energy: An Introduction to Structural Energy Work
This experiential workshop will connect us deeply with our true nature as beings comprised of energy structures. These subtle, invisible structures — like the chakras — pattern and influence our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. By tuning into and working on these structures, we can transform our lives! The workshop will begin with a guided meditation to attune us to our energy system as well a brief introduction to some of our core energy structures. We will then learn and practice a basic, powerful intuitive energy treatment before wrapping up with a group debrief and Q&A. No prior knowledge or experience with energy work required!
