A 3-day mountain biking, camping, and Bible studying adventure in Ocoee, TN

What to expect 

This retreat is designed to get you away from the weekly grind and into nature to enjoy God's creation. Bring a tent or hammock to camp out under the stars, unplug and connect with God. Every morning will begin with a meal and devotion before we hit the trails of the Tanasi trail system. Tanasi trails are well-suited for a variety of riding styles, from intermediate to advanced. Some trails will include long climbs with some technical sections. Accommodations can be made for riders who aren't comfortable with these technical sections. We'll finish each day with dinner and a group devotion around the campfire.

The event kicks off on Thursday morning from 8-10am. Attendees are encouraged to arrive on Wednesday, November 8th for early check-in and camp setup.

Ticket proceeds go directly toward covering the cost of campsite rental, food, and supplies.

Where you'll stay

Primitive, non-electric camp spots are reserved at the Thunder Rock Campground in Ocoee, TN. 

• Tents, hammocks, or car camping only. 
• Solar chargers or battery packs recommended.
• The campground provides all other necessary amenities including restrooms and shower facilities. Ice and firewood is available for purchase at the nearby gas station. 

Extra-curricular activities at the campground include: 

• Fishing
• Hiking
• Stargazing/nature photography

Getting Here 

From the Ocoee Ranger Station, turn left onto Highway 64 eastbound and travel 10.9 miles to the TVA Ocoee Powerhouse Number 3. Turn right and cross the bridge to reach the campground on the right.

Meals

Breakfast and dinner will be provided on Thursday and Friday. Breakfast will be provided on Saturday with an option of a dine-out dinner at the local Mexican cantina. Vegetarian friendly options will be offered.

Tanasi Trails

The Tanasi trail system, which includes approximately 30 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, is accessed directly from the campground. This system can be reached via Thunder Rock Express, Dry Pond Lead, or the Rhododendron Trail. Thunder Rock also provides access to the Benton-McKaye Trail.

Bike Rental

If you need a bike for the weekend, select "Yes" when asked during signup. Bikes are available to reserve for free on a first come, first served basis. If our free bikes are reserved, rentals may be available at one of the many nearby bike shops.
