Tour de Lights, presented by SCHEELS, is a holiday extravaganza that promises a night of fun and enjoyment for all ages at Water Works Park on Sunday, December 14.

Tour de Lights presented by Scheels is a part of the Tinseltown in Water Works Park presented by Wright Outdoor Solutions & 104.1 EZ-FM. 

From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the event will be buzzing with activities. Meet St. Nicholas and his reindeer, witness a special appearance by the Grinch, enjoy musical entertainment by Top Hat Carolers, and explore the lighted displays by Wright Outdoor Solutions. Plus, food and craft vendors will be waiting for you in the EZ-FM Warming Hut and the Des Moines Biergarten.

The Grinch will read “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at 5:00 p.m.
St. Nicholas will read “A Night Before Christmas” at 6:00 p.m.

With light displays on the Killinger Family Stage and various locations in Water Works Park, the festive atmosphere will be in full swing. It's a perfect opportunity to bike, walk, or stroll at your own pace through this joyful setting from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

All Tour de Lights presented by SCHEELS participants are encouraged to arrive in holiday costumes, ugly sweaters, and, of course, holiday lights. We'll deck ourselves out and our bikes and have a blast celebrating the holidays at Water Works Park.

Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed costumes, best-dressed pet costumes, and best-decorated bikes.

All registered participants will receive a Tinseltown in Water Works Park Tour de Lights presented by SCHEELS holiday keepsake campfire mug filled with hot cocoa, and MORE!

Adults 13 & over: $20 participation fee.
Children 12 & under: $10 participation fee.

All proceeds benefit the Des Moines Water Works Park Foundation.
