Saint Louis, MO 63126 US

Information

Enjoy stories on the road to the passage of the 19th amendment, giving American women the legal right to vote.

Hear from Susan B Anthony and Ida B. Wells as they advanced  equality for women and people of color. Then, the woman who lead the charge AGAINST women's suffrage in Tennessee, Josephine Pearson will speak about her challenge to the amendment.

This an all new program for Voices of American HERstory, and we introduce two new reenactors,  Wendy Gordon as Ida B. Wells, and Cheri Hanstein as Josephine Pearson. Jenny Grace Morris appears as Susan B. Anthony with recollections of her 40 years in the women's rights movement, having rotten eggs thrown at her in the early days, and the moment that she became a celebrated personage.

Can't make the premiere on August 18?  We have three additional events in O'Fallon, MO, Webster Groves, and Saint Louis City at the Campbell House. Go to the website for links to all events.

August 18 in Crestwood is at 9490 Watson Road, 63126.  This is the Woodard building, which is behind the Schnucks grocery store.
