Information
In honor of May, National Bike Month, we are proud to bring you a free screening of Bike Vessel, a documentary directed by Eric D. Seals. In Bike Vessel (2023), Seals delves into health inequalities within the Black community, focusing on the journey of his father, Donnie Seals Sr. After enduring three open-heart surgeries that nearly claimed his life, Donnie Seals Sr. experiences a remarkable turnaround in his health nearly two decades later, attributed to his newfound passion for bicycling.
Screening at 6 pm, followed by a Q & A panel with the subject of the field Donnie Sr., Christie Holland, Harlan Hodge, and Margie Oliver.
