From Shelter to Soirée: Countdown to the Gala
A Night of Compassion,Community and Celebration.
Join us Saturday, October 4th 7pm-10pm for a night unlike any other—the Unleashed Gala, our signature annual event and the most anticipated evening on our calendar. But this year its a little different, all proceeds of this year's Unleashed Gala will go towards funding our New State of the Art Facility- helping create the home our animals deserve.
Hosted at the wonderful Covington Country Club, this unforgettable night brings together animal lovers, community leaders, and compassionate change makers for a cause close to all our hearts.
We're thrilled to feature two incredible live music acts: the rising stars of Soul Tribe performing indoors, and the legendary New Orleans Gumbo Trio playing outside beneath the oaks, with a stunning view of the Tchefuncte River! Guests will also enjoy an elevated experience featuring exquisite local cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, silent auctions and our highly anticipated cork. The event will be emceed by WGNO's Curt Sprang, all in support of the life-saving work we do every day for animals in need.
As we celebrate the stories of resilience and love that make our mission so powerful, your presence helps pave the way for a brighter future for our shelter pets. The Unleashed Gala is more than just a night out—it’s a movement, a celebration of hope, and a toast to the lives we’re changing together.

Since 1953, Northshore Humane Society has been a place of hope for animals in need. What began as Holly Reynolds’ dream has grown into a mission powered by compassion, connecting thousands of pets with loving families and providing lifesaving care for over 70 years.
But now, the building that has carried our mission for decades is in urgent disrepair. The kennels are outdated and worn from decades of constant use. Cramped workspaces and deteriorating infrastructure challenge our ability to operate efficiently and safely. The current conditions no longer reflect the standard of care we are committed to providing.
That’s why we’re launching a capital campaign to build a new, state-of-the-art facility, a place designed for healing, love, and second chances. Our new campus will include modern kennels, medical suites, indoor play areas, walking trails, a dog park, and a community center for education and connection.
But we can’t do this without you!!!
