Imagine a young girl missing school simply because she can't afford menstrual products. Sadly, this is a reality for one in four American girls and young women. Women in Training, Inc. tackles this issue head-on by providing monthly donations of WITKITS—canvas bags loaded with essential menstrual, dental and hygiene items—to girls and young women. Since 2019, WIT volunteers have distributed an impressive 40,000 WITKITS, making a significant dent in alleviating period poverty. 

Alongside the WIKITS, Women in Training offers educational programs about menstruation and even publishes a handy brochure, "The WIT Guide to the Menstrual Cycle." So, each WITKIT does more than just provide immediate relief; it keeps girls in school, educates them, and offers them the chance to focus on their education without interruptions. In doing so, WITKITS lay down the foundation for both personal and academic growth, serving as a true enabler of lifelong development.

The WIT Mother-Daughter Brunch Steering Committee is headed by Alabama State Representative Rolanda Hollis, WIT Board Chairwoman. The Co-Chairwomen are Dr. Beverly Davison-Hill, WIT VIce President for Youth Development and Co-Chairwoman for the WIT Mother-Daughter Brunch, and Mrs. Doshie Holston Rankins, Co-Chairwoman of the WIT Mother-Daughter Brunch.
