Halloween is right around the corner. We know so many of you love to dress up your pets for Halloween (who can resist those adorable costumes).  

Let’s get creative and have some fun while supporting the James Madison Belle Grove Foundation’s fundraising efforts for our October events.  

Enter a photo of your pet’s adorable mug and get in the running to win some amazing prizes including Gift Cards from SnapShop Genius Online Pet Supply, Belle Grove Plantation Bed and Breakfast, and a family photo session with your pet with Tyler Darnell Photography.

How to Enter:

1.      Like our “Wag-o-Ween at Belle Grove Plantation” Facebook page

2.      Share our “Wag-o-Ween at Belle Grove Plantation” Facebook page

3.      Snap a photo of your pet (all species may apply)

4.      Dress up your pet in their Halloween costume and snap a photo of your pet. Make sure it is a high-resolution photo and is very clear. What you give us is what we will use. Only one photo per pet.

5.      Post your pet’s photo to our Facebook page with their name, age, breed, and short description or you can email us a photo of your pet with their name, age, breed, and short description to information@bellegroveplantation.com.

Photo deadline to enter contest is ends at 9:00:00 PM (Eastern) August 9, 2024.

Our “Wag-o-Ween” Online Pet Costume Contest will begin on August 10, 2024 at 12:01am (eastern) and end on October 1, 2024 at 11:59pm (eastern)

How to Vote:

• Select your category (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles or other animal)
• Review the participants for each category.
• To vote, click on the button below the picture.
• Each Vote cost $5.00 per vote. The proceeds from the contest will go to the James Madison Belle Grove Foundation.

You may vote as often as you wish. Thank you!

The Contest consists of seven (7) rounds of evaluation. 


Starting Groups – Cats, Dogs, Birds, Reptiles, and Other Animals

There is no cost to enter. Voting will be $5 per vote and can only be voted on through our online voting site. A Leader Board will be available to watch for your placement.

All funds raised will benefit the October 2024 events hosted by the James Madison Belle Grove Foundation including:

·         An Evening with Edger Allen Poe on Saturday, October 5th

·         Ghost Stories around the Fire on Saturday, October 5th

·         Not So Wicked Witches Tea Part on Sunday, October 13th

·         Haunted Hotel at Belle Grove Plantation from Saturday, October 19th to Tuesday, October 31st

Sponsor the Haunted Hotel and we will place your business name, logo, contact information, website information and social media on our Haunted Hotel Facebook page and Website. Sponsorship is $250.00 per business

Sponsor Wag-O-Ween Online Pet Costume Contest and the Haunted Hotel and we will place your business name, logo, contact information, website information and social media on our Wag-O-Ween and Haunted Hotel Facebook pages, Contest page and Website. Sponsorship is $300.00 per business
