[Please note: this walk is now taking place on Wednesday, September 20th at 5:30pm due to an in-person community open house scheduled on September 19th at 5:30pm at Lena Park Community Center, 150 American Legion Hwy, Dorchester proposing a vision for a reimagined Morton Street Campus (formerly Shattuck Hospital Campus) by a coalition of local community-based organizations, led by Boston Medical Center. The walk will focus on Franklin Park, and will start and end at the Franklin Park Clubhouse.

Travel: The 14, 16, 22, 28, 29, 45 buses all are a short walk from the Franklin Park Clubhouse. You could also take the Orange line to Green Street and walk up Green Street/Glen Road and make your way over to the Clubhouse by walking through the park.

• The Franklin Park Coalition about their work and current initiatives for the park

• Brandi Cruthird of Just Walk Boston, a group founded as a way of fighting pandemic-induced loneliness and segregated public space through the simple act of walking. Our walks typically last 90 minutes, covering 1-1.5 miles and include stops along the way to hear from 3-4 people/organizations who are working on walking-related efforts in the community. Updates will be available on the WalkMassachusetts website and sent to all registered attendees before the event.
