Information

Summit Metro Parks Foundation is excited to bring the world-class Wild & Scenic Film Festival to Akron to celebrate the beauty of nature and the importance of conservation. All proceeds will benefit the Summit Metro Parks Foundation’s work in supporting the park district’s mission to conserve, sustainably manage, and value natural resources for the health and enjoyment of our community, and inspire people to connect with nature through clean and safe parks.

Join us at either the 2 p.m. or 6 p.m. showing to celebrate nature and be inspired! Can't join us on the 24? Purchase a virtual ticket and we will send you a link to view the films between February 24 and March 2 at your location. All showings will have the same collection of films.

The 120-minute compilation will feature family-friendly, inspiring stories from around the US and the world.

Purchasing your tickets ahead of time is recommended as both showings are anticipated to sell out. Tickets can only be purchased through this website and are not available at The Nightlight box office. There is no selection of seating within the theater. Handicapped seating is available, please contact us in advance. Refunds will be available until Tuesday, February 20th at 11:59 pm.

The films will be shown at The Nightlight (30 N. High St., Akron), an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit movie theater dedicated to connecting our community through the shared cinema experience.

Parking can be found on surrounding streets as well as within the High Street Parking Garage.

The theater will open 30 minutes before showtimes for concessions and drinks. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Downtown Akron is full of creative eateries and restaurants, so come early or stay late.
