For one night only, The Red Horse Inn is hosting a special wine, food, and music experience — a rare dinner-style event for us and a unique evening on the terrace.

Join us for a relaxed six-course tasting experience by House 509 Catering, featuring wines from Josh Cellars of California, followed by live music from Reedy River String Band.

The tasting experience begins at 5:30 PM. Guests will enjoy a curated progression of small-plate tasting courses, each served with a 2 oz wine pairing selected to complement the flavors of the dish. This is not a formal seated dinner. Guests will move through the evening at an easy pace, picking up each tasting course along with its paired wine as the experience unfolds.

The menu begins with Josh Cellars Seaswept Sparkling and artisan crostini, followed by bright coastal-inspired flavors, garden vegetables, Chardonnay with braised chicken, Pinot Noir with duck, and a rich Cabernet pairing with braised blackberry short rib.

At 7:00 PM, the evening continues with live music by Reedy River String Band in the beautiful setting of The Red Horse Inn.

Wine-Paired Tasting & Music Experience tickets include the full six-course tasting menu, six 2 oz curated wine pairings featuring Josh Cellars of California, and live music.

Meal-inclusive ticket sales end on August 13. After that date, any remaining tickets may be released as music-only admission and will not include food or wine pairings.

Sip. Savor. Celebrate.

Six tasting courses by House 509 Catering
Six 2 oz wine pairings featuring Josh Cellars of California

About the Artist

Artist Name: Reedy River String Band

Reedy River String Band has taken the Southeast of the United States by storm the past few years with their fresh take on Appalachian roots music. In 2023, Reedy River performed at several notable bluegrass festivals, including the Earl Scruggs Music Festival (EmmyLou Harris, Infamous Stringdusters, Greensky Bluegrass) and the Charleston Bluegrass Festival (Leftover Salmon, Molly Tuttle, Keller and the Keels). Reedy River's sound is modern bluegrass with foot stompin' elements of jam and rock n' roll inspired by the various touring and recording experiences of its members. In any given show, Multi-instrumentalist Sterling Waite interchanges mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and harmonica to bring a range of textures to the band's live performances. With Rush Morgan on guitar and Mark Dye on upright bass, all three of the members are songwriters and lead singers, lending a depth and variety of original material beyond the band’s relatively short time together. Since forming in 2021, Reedy River String Band released their debut self-titled album in 2022 and has since released two singles, "My Grass is Blue," and "Punkin Brown" in 2023. Their studio releases have been played on multiple radio stations in the Southeast of the United States including WNCW Spindale, NC, WLHR Lake Hartwell, GA, and The Creek Macon, GA.

This is an outdoor wine bar, so expect to be outside. Dress appropriately for the weather.

Dinner - prepared by House 509

Outside Food or Drinks

Outside alcohol, food, and fluid containers are not permitted.

During the Performance

Please limit chatter during the performance so everyone can fully enjoy the music.

Cheering, Clapping, and Singing Along Is Encouraged

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs are welcome! If you have a small dog, you may want to leave it behind. My large dog tends to think small dogs are puppies and likes to roughhouse. Your little one might get a bit startled when she comes over to play. With larger dogs, she usually just gives them a sniff and moves on.

This is a no smoking facility. That includes vaping.

Refund Policy

Tickets are non-refundable due to our limited capacity. You are welcome to transfer them to another guest.

Inclement Weather

We remain open in the case of inclement weather. If rain shows up, we’ll move inside or under the covered arbor.

We look forward to welcoming you to Wine on the Terrace.
