Let's finish what we started!
August 26 is celebrated as Women's Equality Day. It is the date in 1920 when the 19th amendment, giving women the legal right to vote nationwide, was added to the US constitution.
And yet, we do not yet have equality, despite the amazing gains of the right to vote and the right to an education for women.
We have two more important pillars to achieve.
Join us for a Celebration of the Journey Toward Women's Equality!
At this event you will meet:
- A time-traveling Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who started the women's movement in 1848 (she shares her history and what needs to be done next)
- Inspiring Women Running for Local Office.
- Women's Organizations such as Rise & Run 4 Women training programs
