LDC Upper Sandusky – Opening Spring 2026
Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) has announced the construction of a soybean processing plant in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. LDC will be sourcing soybeans and selling soybean meal, soy hulls, and refined soybean oil. The facility will also have oil blending and packaging capabilities and will distribute a variety of vegetable oils as well as LDC’s broader portfolio of food ingredients.
Construction began in early 2024, the new facility will employ over 100 people and have annual soy crushing capacity of 1,500,000 MT and annual edible (RBD) soybean oil production capacity of 320,000 MT.

The Ohio Farm Bureau Energy Program is an exclusive member benefit offering competitive electricity and natural gas supply pricing to homes, farms, and businesses across Ohio.
