Event Description
The Youth Trout Derby is back! Visit Clearbrook Park on May 8th from 5-8pm for this exciting and engaging fishing event designed for young anglers (ages 4-15). This derby allows youth to connect with nature, learn or enhance fishing skills, and foster a love for the outdoors. With prizes, giveaways, and a focus on conservation, our youth trout derby offers a memorable experience for the next generation of anglers.
- Check-in from 5-5:55pm
- Announcement from 5:55-6pm
- Fishing from 6-8pm
Adults can assist with baiting, casting, and taking the fish off the hook. They can not retrieve the fish for the kids. Anyone 16 or older who will be helping an angler retrieve fish must have a VA Fishing License.
