Event Description
Train for Your 10K or Half Marathon!
Kick off your New Year’s resolutions with our Half Marathon and 10K Training Program! Starting March 1st, this three-month in-person program is designed to prepare you to cross the finish line of the Trent Waldron Half Marathon and 10K.
Whether you’re a beginner training for your first 10k or half marathon or an experienced athlete looking to up your game, we’ve got training cohorts for every pace and experience level. This group's focus is to facilitate your running/walking journey in a supportive group. Workouts start at an easy level and gradually build up, ensuring you’re ready to tackle 10k or 13.1 miles with confidence.

Program Details
Each weekly training session will begin at Flattop Pizza (600 West 6th Avenue) at 11:30 am. Please arrive in appropriate athletic attire, ready to run/walk. After the workout, all participants are invited to join the Anchorage Running Club social meetup, which begins at 12:30 at Flattop Pizza.
Participants will receive an individualized training plan that includes workouts for the rest of the week to be completed either on your own or with other members of your cohort if scheduling allows.
Participants who successfully complete the program, including finishing either the Trent Waldron 10k or Half Marathon, will receive a free Anchorage Running Club beanie.
