Workshops That Inspire
Our monthly Maker Lab studios invite you to explore new skills, tools, and challenges. Whether you join our Artisans Apprentice program (teen/adult), Tinker & Make to Learn activities (kids), or Challenge Quests (family), you’ll learn by doing—applying the engineering design process, critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity. Every session ends with something you’ve imagined, designed, and made yourself.

A Day at Academy

Start the day with friends in the Discovery Garden. We'll water plants, harvest fruits and veggies (as season allows), and then go inside to care for our pet guinea pigs, rabbit, and fish. Next, we'll have a morning meeting as a whole group which includes songs and games to get to know one another and a whole group activity or read-aloud. Then, we spend some time working individually on academics, whatever that looks like for each child. After lunch, we have time for play and exploration in the Discovery Museum and Maker Lab Studios. Of course, every day is flexible and unique - just like each of our students!
