About Our Race
The race started in Illinois as a fun alternative to typical 5k Road Races and was an instant hit.
Each Run for the Dogs event offers a 5K Run/Walk! Walkers are more than welcome—many of our events see more walkers than runners! Participants will receive a Run for the Dogs Shirt, a custom race bib, a Doggie charm, and a finisher medal at the finish line. Join us for a unique experience that blends fitness, fun, and your favorite pup!
The Course: Our courses vary from location to location. Most are on pavement with some areas of grass. All of the courses are very suitable to both runners and walkers.
Our Charities: Please thank a charity/shelter volunteer at the event! We feature a local charity/shelter at every race and have the best volunteers!
