Dr. Adam Walsh

Dr. Walsh has over 25 years of program, cllinical and research experience in suicide prevention.  Dr. Walsh is an International expert on public health approaches to preventing suicide.  He has a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a Postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Psychology (suicide prevention) at George Mason University.

Dr. Walsh was the former Director of Suicide Prevention and Community Counseling for the United States Marine Corps at HQ USMC, the former Director of Research and Program Evaluation for the Defense Suicide Prevention Office, and the former Acting Executive Director of the American Association for Suicideology.

Currently, Dr. Walsh is a Scientific Consultant for the Columbia Lighthouse Project.

Brad Lanto 

Brad Lanto is a Marine Corps Veteran and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has held a variety of Behavioral Health roles, as a civil servant with over 30 years of service.  During his 20 years with Marine Corps Family Programs, he oversaw and directed nine different Bahavioral Health Programs at the Installation level, as well as veing detailed to Headquarters, Marine Corps, several times.  Brad has held key positions in various Departmemt of Defense (ODO) Programs such as the Office of the Secretary of Defense's Reintegration Program and the Defense Suicide preventiom Office (DSPO).  During his time at DSPO, Brad was the Military Deputy for the Office and then later selected as the Acting Deputy Director.  His previous Federal positions include the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), where he spent over three years as the Diretor of Field Operations for the National Suicide Prevention Program (SPP), as well as the Department of Homeland Security, where he spent over four years as an Operational Clinician.  Brad retired from the Marine Corps in 2019, after 28 years of service (both active duty and reserve duty).  Brad resides in Emerald Isle, NC, with his wife, yoly.  They have a daughter, Savannah, a sophomore at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA; a son, Marcus, working in Katy, TX; a daughter, Madison who is in graduate school at the University of Houston; as well as a son, Zac, who is a residential home builder in Clayton, NC.
