Competitions Rules & Prizes
Community Trees at Lights on the Lake features two exciting competitions each season, giving visitors the chance to support their favorite non-profit while helping them compete for prizes. Here's how it works.
Competition Dates: Saturday, November 28th, 2026 at 12:00 PM EST through Wednesday, December 30th 2026 at 10:00 PM EST
Fundraising Competition
Cast your vote by making a donation. Every dollar you give goes directly to the non-profit you're supporting.
- Donations are accepted through our fundraising website or in person at the event
- Each vote is $1, and all proceeds go straight to the non-profit receiving the votes
- Single donations are limited to $250

Social Media Competition
Show your support with a "like"! This competition is based on Facebook engagement.
- Votes are counted as "likes" on each tree's official post on the Lights on the Lake Facebook page
- Only likes on the original post count, so be sure to like the official post, not shared copies

Want to help a tree climb the leaderboard? Share the official Facebook post with friends and family, and consider making a donation early and often, consistent support throughout the competition makes the biggest difference!
