Join us at Good Morning Sports on December 18 as we step into the spirit of the Winter Games with extraordinary Olympic athletes—curler Matt Hamilton, ski jumper Estella Hassrick and former ice hockey defenseman Barry Richter. Connect with Olympic legends and future stars right here in Wisconsin as they share their stories, the thrill of qualifying for Team USA and what it means to represent your country on the world stage.
A complimentary "learn to curl" lesson will be provided after the program for eight individuals who select the add-on ticket ad registration. First come, first served.
Speakers
- Matt Hamilton is a 3x U.S. mixed doubles and 6x men’s team curling champion from McFarland. He won Olympic gold in PyeongChang in 2018 and competed in Beijing in 2022.
- Estella Hassrick is a rising star in ski jumping. A Middleton High School grad and Penn State student who competed at the 2024 Youth Olympics, she is now on the U.S. Ski Team, aiming for the 2026 Winter Games.
- Barry Richter is a former hockey player for the University of Wisconsin–Madison and represented Team USA at the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics. He spent five NHL seasons with the Rangers, Bruins, Islanders and Canadiens.

Good Morning Sports
Good Morning Sports, previously known as Morning Sports Report, is an event series presented by the Madison Area Sports Commission (MASC) bringing you behind the scenes stories from some of the most fascinating people in the industry. The events will feature the opportunity to meet and mingle with sports notables and like-minded community members who appreciate the energy, pride, tradition and ambition that combine to make athletics a beloved business.
Event registrations will have an optional donation which will benefit the MASC Youth Grant, a program that funds Dane County organizations and clubs that connect youth ages 17 and younger to sports activities that teach leadership, teamwork and provide lifelong physical and mental health benefits.
