Description

Suicide ranks among the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s top 10 causes of death for elementary school-aged children and teens. The loss of a peer to suicide is a traumatic biopsychosocial-spiritual experience that often leads to disenfranchised grief. Participants will apply the person-specific intervention strategies to a case study.

Learning Objectives:

2. Analyze disenfranchised grief in connection with best practice strategies for supporting  children/adolescents bereaved by peer suicide.
