Dear Volleyball Players:

 

This year marks the 36^th Annual Co-ed Beach Volleyball Tournament.  The Volleyball Tournament will be held beginning Saturday morning, August 8, 2026 and on Sunday morning, August 9, 2026 at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton.  This year’s format will be as follows:  Saturday will be a “Competitive 4’s Co-ed” (2 men/2 women) team format.  Sunday we are trying something a little different.  A “Recreational 6’s Co-ed” & “Semi-Competitive 6’s Co-ed” team divisions. Both will require 3 men/3 women.  The tournament will be set up depending on the number of teams for each division.  The addition of the Semi-Competitive division will provide play for volleyball players who have a somewhat better ability than recreational.  This division IS NOT for higher level players.  It is only for a second level of recreational players.  In the event that there are not enough teams for this division, the teams will be added to the recreational division.

 

Volleyball T-shirts will be given to each team captain upon registration the morning of the tournament to distribute to his or her team members.  More details on the tournament as well as tournament rules and details on the parking will be sent to you after your team has registered and paid.  Please call me at 607-821-8763 with questions.

 

Saturday, August 8, 2026 Competitive Co-ed 4’s:

1.     Entry fee is $80 per team if postmarked on or before July 7^th and $100 per team for anything postmarked AFTER July 7^th.

1. Format to be determined depending on number of teams.
2. Competitive Co-ed 4’s – 2 men and 2 women on court at all times.  Maximum 6 players per team.
3. Men can’t block women.
4. Teams will work (referee/score) matches.
5. All players must sign a waiver of liability and release of all claims before they can play.
6. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams.

 

 

Sunday, August 8, 2026 Recreational & Semi-Competitive Co-ed 6’s:

The tournament rules will follow USAV Rules as in previous years.

 

1.     Entry fee is $120 per team if postmarked on or before July 7^th and $150 per team for anything postmarked AFTER July 7^th.

1. Limit – First 20 teams to register.
2. 8 players maximum per team – Normally, 3 male and 3 female players on the court at all times.  More women than men is allowed.  Never more men than women on the court.  Tournament directors may alter this on a case by case basis.
3. Unlimited substitutions at service position.
4. Teams will work (referee) pool play matches if needed.
5. All players must sign a waiver of liability and release of all claims before they can play.
6. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams.

 

Please complete the enclosed entry form and mail it to the indicated address.  Please include your team roster and a check or money order made payable to Spiedie Fest/Balloon Rally Expo, Inc.  If you have any questions, please call Dale at 607-821-8763 or Kelly at 607-761-3174.  The deadline to enter is to be post marked by Monday, July 27, 2026.  You may call for availability after this date.  An early entry saves money and assures your team a spot in this year’s Beach Volleyball Tournament.
