2026 Race Team

Run five races. Run eight races. Get rewarded. Every pace. Every mile.

Choose from 12 eligible races throughout the 2026 season as part of the Wyoming Valley Striders Race Team.

Participation requires current WVS membership. Members must wear the official WVS Race Team singlet.

Rules:

Run 5 races (including 2 WVS-hosted) — Receive $50.
Run 8 races (including 3 WVS-hosted) — Receive $100 + special recognition at the End-of-Year Social.
Reimbursements are issued after the final race in the series (Diamonds).

*Must complete the minimum WVS-hosted races to be eligible for reimbursement.

04/04 | Susquehanna Warrior Trail 5K - 3.1 miles
04/11-12 | 5K or Scranton Half Marathon - 3.1 miles (Run) | 13.1 miles (Run or Walk)
04/26 | WVS Cherry Blossom - 5 miles
05/16 | Harveys Lake Run - 8.2 miles
05/25 | Forty Fort Lions Old Fort 5 Mile Run - 5 miles
07/04 | Bernie’s Memorial 3-Mile Run - 3 miles
09/06 | Wyoming Valley Run - 10 miles (Run or Walk)
09/12 | Forty Fort Cemetery 5K or 10K - 3.1 miles or 6.2 miles
10/11 | Steamtown Marathon - 26.2 miles
11/08 | WVS 5K or 20K - 3.1 miles or 12.4 miles
11/26 | Run for the Diamonds - 9 miles

The WVS Vince Wojnar Triple Crown will continue to consist of the Winter’s End Run, Cherry Blossom Run, and 20K Run.

Requirements:

To receive credit toward the Wyoming Valley Striders Race Team program, participants must meet all of the following requirements for each race they wish to count. Failure to meet any requirement will result in that race not being eligible for rewards.

Must be a Wyoming Valley Striders member in good standing. Renew or join here.
Must wear an official WVS Race Team singlet.

If you are joining after April 22, 2026, we have a few singlets remaining and will do our best to accommodate your request.
The team singlet must be worn during each qualifying race.
Must submit a photo from each race showing the athlete wearing the team singlet and race bib (photo may be taken at the start, on course, or at the finish).
If a race offers a team or club competition, or includes a team/club name field during registration, the athlete must register as a Wyoming Valley Striders Race Team member.
No substitutions or deferrals will be permitted.
Race documentation must be submitted within seven (7) days of each race to be eligible for credit. Submissions received after this deadline will not be accepted.
