Artistic Director of our Musical Theatre Program
Joseph M Grosso was bit by the theatre bug while watching Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl at the age of eight. Ever since then he has devoted his life to the performing arts as both an actor and educator. Joseph is a proud musical theatre graduate of both Florida School of the Arts as a Hall of Fame recipient and Manhattan School of Music as a JMP scholarship recipient. Mr. Grosso has appeared in a number of professional plays and musicals, most notably as Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof, Bobby in the world-wide premiere of a new version of Cabaret and worked with such illustrious artists as Kristen Chenoweth, Nathan Lane, Joanna Gleason, Bebe Neuwirth, Randy Graff, and Victoria Clark among others. As an educator Mr. Grosso previously taught Theatre at Thomas E. Weightman Middle School where he began a thespian troupe and created a revamped drama department and is now the theatre director at River Ridge Middle School. He has also taught at the Off-Broadway Theatre Company TADA! in New York City and directed, choreographed, and vocally coached a plethora of productions with students kindergarten through high school including Adventures of a Comic Book Artist which was invited to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Mr. Grosso is thrilled to bring musical theatre to our amazing company!

Amanda began dancing at age two and soon after began intense training in acrobatics and contortion. Throughout her childhood, she won numerous regional and national titles as a competitive acrobat. While attending Fairleigh Dickinson University, she was a highly sought after acrobatic and contortion instructor. In 2015 she relocated from New Jersey to Saint Petersburg, FL. Now, she has over ten years of teaching experience and is certified by Acrobatic Arts, Alixa Flexibility, and Progressing Ballet Technique. Her students have been very successful in competitions as well as finding work in the industry. Her teaching style in the classroom encourages growth and motivation while building strength and mental confidence.

Ms. Megan will be teaching Broadway Jazz and will be our Elite Team Competition Director!
COMPETITION DIRECTOR
Megan is a native to Tampa. She has worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a soloist/aerialist , Busch Gardens as a dancer/singer and Universal Studios as a High Kick Dancer in the Macy’s Parade. She has worked for BeHuman Modern company as a dancer and soloist. Her regional credits include Cabaret, Spring Awakening and The Machine Stops at FreeFall Theater; Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat, LaCage, Wizard of Oz, Guys and Dolls, 42nd Street, Sentimental Journey, Meet Me in St. Louis, Hairspray and Swing! She has received regional choreography credits in Spring Awakening, Bright Lights Big City and The Machine Stops at FreeFall Theater; and Wizard of Oz and Book of Love at the Show Palace Theater. Megan has also choreographed at Busch Gardens, UCF, various wedding and corporate events and was the Dance Director for Camp Pontiac in New York. In 2013 Megan was Runner Up for Best Choreographer in Tampa Bay for Creative Loafing. In New York she was the Competition Director and Choreographer for multiple studios. She is a Regional and National Judge for multiple competitions. Megan’s greatest accomplishment is being able to teach what she has learned throughout her career to her students.

Ms. Kayley born and raised in Florida Kayley has trained in several styles of dance including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Musical Theater, and Contemporary. Considering Tap is her main focus, she had trained with many top industry choreographers including but not limited to Jason Samuels Smith, Ted Levy, Michelle Dorrance, and Barbara Duffy. Kayley has had several tap solos choreographed by choreographers such as Aaron Tolson, Mike Minery, and Anthony Morigerato all receiving top adjudications at both regional and national level conventions and competitions. Kayley has also attended several intensives like Syncopate Tap Intensive, New Jersey Tap Festival, DC Tap Festival, Tampa Bay Tap Festival, and American Tap Festival to expand her knowledge and training. Kayley was a previous Pro Reveler with Revel Dance Convention from 2017-2019 and is currently a member of “Loose Screws” directed by Mike Minery and Anthony Morigerato, “Co.mmit” directed by Jason Janas, and is an ambassador for O’Mara Sprung Floors.

Jordan will be teaching our Ballet/ Tap combo classes, PeeWee Lyrical and more!
Originally from Tampa, FL, Jordan Freed is a graduate of the University of South Florida where she earned her BFA degree in Dance – with a concentration in Ballet. While attending USF, she had the opportunity to perform in numerous works by faculty members Andrew Caroll, Paula Nunez, John Parks and Andee Scott as well as guest choreographers Alex Ketley and Claudia Lavista. She has studied all dance forms including the codified techniques of Lester Horton, Martha Graham, and Jose Limon.
Jordan previously attended Peridance, in NYC, for the BluePrint intensive where she studied under Rachel Patrice, Joshua Beamish, Enzo Celli, Antonio Brown and Laura Rae Bernasconi. She also had the opportunity to perform in a work choreographed by Joshua Beamish in the final showcase.
Post graduation, Jordan has been working as a guest dancer with the Tampa City Ballet under the direction of USF faculty member Paula Nunez.

Heidi is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, where she trained for nine years. She has studied with Joffrey Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and the Hungarian Ballet Academy in Budapest, Hungary. In her professional career, she has danced with Charleston Ballet Theatre, Greensboro Ballet, Northern Ballet Theatre, Burklyn Ballet Theatre and MORE!
