• Dr. Guistwite has a passion for equipping those who care for others in mind, body, and spirit with the best and latest available in scientific research. Through her thoughtful and practical sessions, she has helped many participants feel more able to care for others during some of the hardest parts of ministry (end-of-life, grief, and mental health care). A highlight of her sessions is the opportunity for participants to engage with the topic through case studies and role plays. She brings her expertise to a variety of topics, and I have enjoyed working with her to develop new sessions that meet the ever-evolving needs of those who serve in ministry. Rev. • I am an LCSW with 50 years of experience. I have participated in numerous trainings sponsored by Dr. Guistuite (aka “Julie.”) I always learn something new. The trainings are practice-oriented targeting useful skills and not just theory. The trainings also allow for direct participation and Julie is always willing to answer questions.

        Bereavement is not a topic that most of us studied in graduate school. It is something we learn via personal experience and ongoing self-education. Julie is an expert in this field. • I have attended several workshops, offered by Ripple of Light Bereavement Resource Center, LLC. Julie, the facilitator of these workshops is very knowledgeable about this topic. Each workshop was informative, thought-provoking, and interactive.

         I have been a clinical social worker for over 30 years and the topics that were offered in terms of grief and loss truly enhanced my clinical skills and assisted me to better serve my patients in terms of their grief journey.
